No matter what you want to say about Harper, you can still call him Prime Minister.

Hope Mr Mustard stays on for a long, long time.

Dion will go after consulting the party hierarchy and being politely asked

I'm tempted to buy liberal card just so I can vote for Mr Mustard to stay as leader. He's doing a fine job for the Liberals....if you're a Conservative.

Heh heh...I agree...he's the best leader that they deserve.

The next leader will still be an interim one...the rebuilding process will take many years, and anyone with any brains won't want to touch being leader.

I mean, c'mon, ya' gotta' be nuts to want tyo be leader of that party now, and in the near future.

Yes the apprentice of the reform party is still learning and just found out most Canadians don't like going to the polls to prop up his job. Especially when it costs what 30 mill i think I heard what a waste even for a reformer alliance what ever Stephy is.
The real conservative party died with Joe Clark Brian Mulroney just nailed in the nails to the coffin . The reform took over from there and is still there today,

It was worth it to devastate the Liberals.

Now we can get on with a proper parliament. The committee hearings will no longer be a farce and just Liberal fishing-trips.

anyone else find it completely insanely funny that the liberals convention is in May?
Love the line "he accepted that he can't survive a May leadership review vote "

its stupid.. the liberals are already batting the names around of people who ran before.

give it up. Two people who could rescue the liberal party right now
1) Lloyd Axworthy
2) A complete unknow who is not currently a member of the Liberal party.

But they have too much pride to admit the Liberal leadership in its entirety is to blame, not just one man. A clean house, some fresh ideas and in 3 years it will be a Liberal majority for the next 12.

...speaking of witch, I'm surprised that there isn't more flack about EliMay's disastrous campaign.

They should be throwing her out.

What was so disastrous about it? I left their party as she was being elected into the leadership position... she was to be the saviour.

As for the Liberals, will be have to endure another leadership race? I just hope they don't pick another douche bag who cannot understand good ol' American English, hee hee. That guy really irritated me.

How would you feel if you were running and put forward your blood, sweat and money, and your bloody leader tells / strongly sugests, that voters should vote for someone else?

Don't do it! It's a trap!
Better to send her a pink slip, instead of a vote or membership.

The way things seem to go nowadays, she could switch parties and run for the Liberal leadership next spring.

That would pave the way for Belinda S. to finally get herself a political party when she runs for the Green leadership.

Remember. You heard it here first.

LOL, Belinda is not smart enough to fill out the form to apply for the job.

so according to everyone Dion will make an announcement sometime this afternoon about the leadership of the Liberal party. And while everyone that is not in the Liberal party is saying the announcement is going to be that he is stepping down... All the Liberals are saying, it may or may not be, and that they will support him no matter what he says at the press conference.

So are the Liberals simply keeping alive a tried and true Liberal tradition of lieing to the public. Or do they really not know what he is going to do?
And say he does not step down, will all the Liberal MPs that are calling for him to step down, leave the party in protest?

Guest

He will step down when a new leader is chosen he just announced.

Keeping in true form, he blamed everyone else, mainly Harper, for his problems.

The man is pathetic imo.
