If Toronto gets a second NHL team, would it Leafs still suck as much?

Sad that Toronto could have 2 teams, while Winnipeg has none.

Toronto would easily support a second team. I expect they'll build a new arena for them near Woodbine Racetrack. That would be an excellent location with access from everywhere through Highway 427. It's 5 minutes from the Airport near Peel region which has a million plus residents (Mississauga, Brampton...). This is a no brainer.

Winnipeg will get another crack at the NHL. Too bad there were not a few more gazillionaires living here.

How about we work out a deal where by Toronto gets 2 brand new teams, and Winnipeg takes the Leafs off their hands! ;-)

We'dhave to wait at least 2 seasons before we can change the name to the Jets!

Ummm...New York City

Yankees & Mets
Giants & Jets
Nicks & Nets

Yeah, technically some of them play in New Jersey, but you can see NYC from the parking lot of the stadium Wink.

They can call them the Maple Leaves.

That should screw up all those hyper-smart Torontonians.

I believe he was referring to New york having 5 differetn pro sports in different sports... but its actually way more then that if you include soccer and hockey.

No, I was referring to London, England and 5 pro "football" teams. Never mind different sports, this is ONE sport. And, I believe, they are all in the Premier Division. I stand to be corrected on that though.
