Do you have to drink eight glasses of water a day? Researchers say no:

Rather than slavishly choking down eight glasses of water, these experts say we should take a more enlightened, individualized approach to hydration. How much we each need depends on factors such as our diet, level of daily physical activity, how hot it is, where we live, our size and even our personal health issues.
Susan Barr, a professor of nutrition at the University of British Columbia, says that all kinds of fluid count, including juice, pop, beer and even mild diuretics such as coffee and tea. There’s even water in foods such as chicken and bread, Barr adds.

Solution: drink when you're thirsty. My personalized solution: drink beer when you're thirsty.

This has been a public service announcement.

Well, you should drink continuously throughout the day. If you feel thirsty, you're already a bit dehydrated.

Drinking all the time (carrying around water bottle) is a fad imo. (Dumb if you consider the price some pay for the water).

Finally, someone comes out with some realistic info.

Theres lots of ways to stay hydrated, like the foods we eat. Proper hydration is critical for athletes and we try to teach kids the right things. Quite true that bottled water is somewhat of a fad. Our tap water remains probably the best in North America. Fill up your own bottle.

Isn't thirst the body's message that you need fluids? Kind of like when I get cranky, it means I need beer.

Even when we first feel thirsty, we’re a long way off from dehydration.
Your body's being pro-active. Thirst means your body wants fluid, but it's not yet dehydrated. It would be like saying when your hungry you're already starving a little bit, which is certainly not the case.

drink beer when you're hungry or thirsty.
them pyrimid building slaves got 1 and 1/3 gallons a day.
and those were mason gallons.

thirst is a function of salt.

triniman is in two places at once.
can you tell the elitist nerds at NW that a real beer store recycles empties and bottle pickers are people too.
