Keep waiting...WCB case managers and adjudicators are useless. I worked there at one time in Corporate records and 3/4 of the staff shouldn't even be employed as CM's or adj's. When my term was up I was happy to be out of that place.

Reminds me of the story "Waiting for Godot", where these 2 Canadians are standing around all day and night "waiting for Godot"

That is our situation with the health care, and because we, as Canadians, are used to crappy service, we do not complain, we do not phone in to see if there are any cancelations, we just stand around like sheep!

What could be worse then a corporation not accountable to anyone that uses the force of the governernment passing laws to reap profit and deny benefits to people based on the whim of a case manager?

Real men just 'walk it off' .... I need to see the Doctor, but I usually refuse to go and my wife forces me.

I only go voluntarily when something has or is nearly falling off, smells decayed or causes an abnormal amount of screaming.

Sounds like me. If everyone who was somewhat ill, or slightly ill, just waited for a while 'till they were better, emergency rooms would be able to attend to the really sick or injured people right away.

You suggest that every time someone has the sniffles, a pain or ache they go to the doctor or emergency? I don't.

I'm willing to bet half of all doctor visits are a complete waste of everyones time and the limited resources of the health system. Didn't you complain about long waits at emergency? How many of the people ahead of you really needed a doctor?

I just read about how some huge percentage of prescriptions were placebos. In other words, the so called sick are just not ill enough to need time and money consuming doctors visits.

I'm not going to clog up the health care system with imaginary diseases. I'll wait till I have a real one.

When I lift my arm it feels like someone is pounding a rail spike through my shoulder. I have trouble lifting a coffee cup to my mouth. I have a friend who is his own doctor(not a real doctor). If he needs stitches he will give them to himself, refuses to go to a doctor.

I'm not one of those people who goes to a doctor once a week or one of the drunks who get ambulance rides to HSC every few days only to get diagnosed as drunk then sent to the main street project.

Dean suggest you price it out in The US and you will find out why 57 percent of Americans have no disability insurance. And many have no life insurance .

I know what the prices are. I worked for a company that produced software for most of the banks/insurance companies in the states.
But we live in Canada... check the prices here you will find them much more affordable.

I have a friend who is self employed. He has Blue Cross to cover dental, eyes, prescriptions....it's costly but not having coverage would be way more costly.

Living dead- stop lifting your arms, and stop drinking coffee! There , you should be in less pain! That is the canadian way to solving "pain" problems!

I finally sent a fax request to my Doctor, telling him about my continual pain, thanks to you! I have been vegetating at home for 3 months , hoping he would phone me to see if I was OK.

If you can take the Winkler route as at least it is done , it is frustrating for the waiting . Wife and I have been going through it for a year . There is no magic solution I still believe in the system it just needs to be fixed and the same thing is happening all over not just here .
