"shoddy documentation of case files and demoralized staff who felt isolated and abandoned on reserves."
"cash meant for kids was often diverted for other purposes "
"There was no effectively functioning board to fulfill the governance role in setting policy direction and monitoring the affairs of the agency," wrote the review team."
Chiefs from the tribal council are split on the review’s findings.

Two days? How about immediate. The Chief's have said they're split on the decision (don't ask more questions you racists) so the answer will be the usual - the "system" needs more funding and less interference from outsiders looking into their activities and spending. How dare we?

Yes the system is wrong but to get the older population to change it, is difficult but it is happening . Most of the native people have never known democracy in its true form , so it is foreign to some to question Chiefs who have had free rein for way to long .
Their are changes happening slowly but then it is better then never , 4 days can not teach you nearly enough. You have to learn the cultural differences and how they work . It is to bad that given the chance the Chiefs have set the movement back so badly .

Whats democracy have to do with Chief's interferring with children's well being and misdirecting money?? Oh, right, it doesn't, but that's part of the smokescreen to cover the real issue.

thanks Uras Minor I figured you might be the first one (taken from the freep comments)

"Interesting there is no mention of the fact that First Nations are not funded to the level that provincial run agencies are to the tune of at least $2000 per child."

No it is part of the chiefs having to much control over their bands and not enough people having the power to rid them

Actually it is part of a systematic plundering by the chiefs and related parties to the detriment of their own people.
