So far, there are two candidates for Mayor. Sam Katz hasn't actually submitted his paperwork but he's widely believed to be running for Mayor again.

Of the two candidates, who would you choose for Mayor? Or would you support someone else? If so, who?

Since I don't know who the others are it is difficult to pick one of the three boxes.

If I had to choose between those two only I would vote one way. If there was a viable alternative (Dave Angus) I'd likely vote another.

Perhaps the poll should be: "If these were the only two candidates...".

Judy Whatshername is a career politician, having served at the provincial and federal levels. Having sat with the NDP for so many years, how exactly does that qualify her as a "visionary"?

Her true goal in life is collect pensions from all 3 levels of government, then become a school trustee to supplement her retirement.

I almost PUKE , when I hear the word visionary!
That rhymes with fairy and we have had only one of the above two choices!! lol

Visionary- yeah sure! What a load of politivcal manure!
We need a Mayor who c an decide how HE wants to spend the $880,000,000 budget that is short a billion dollars to look after what the City needs!
The only growth area in the city is the number of people going on welfare, which is a city responsibility!

Are you high? The responsibility should be on the people to go out and find a job.
Failing that, the Province should take care of those who truly need the assisstance. All the freeloaders should be cut loose and told "Sink or swim".

I'm still kinda' shocked that Norrie and Carstairs are backing W-L.

What has Katz done to piss off the Liberals I wonder?

There's a political under-current here that I can't get a handle on....anyone else?

Its a strange one thats fir sure.

It makes little sense. Judy has not really said she is willing to do anything only that she hates sam and something he did made her really really mad.

But look at the things she did touch on

Swimming/skating lessons have gone up in price. Wow really geez so the instructors and the building workers want more money... where the hell else is it supposed to come from? And dont try to tell me that recent price increases were the only ones ever. Hell I am will to be there were price increases during the time Judy was the prov cabinet minister responsible for recreation.

roads crumbling. More money has been spent on roads and bridges during Sam's time then the entire time of Murray and Thompson put together.

for some reason all Judy is really saying is that she will raise property taxes or get some more revenue ( ie taxes) so she can go on a spending spree and for some really bizarre reason many people are having orgasms over that fact.
