" the MMF argued MacInnes failed to interpret the Manitoba Act “in a
manner consistent with the promises and assurances” given to Metis
people."

Translation: You didn't interpret the Manitoba Act favorable to our position.

Exactly!

The Metis are just pissed off that they don't have all the hand-outs native Indians get. That's because they fraternized with the evil Europeans earning the same rights and privileges. You know, work hard to earn a living, pay your taxes, buy a home and all the trappings they can afford...

/sarcasm.

Ummm, did I say that? Are the Europeans the only culpable party?

What are you talking about? I have such a difficult time following anything you say, because you never make it clear what your point is. Sorry, but that is where I'm coming from.

Just to show that the Europeans have gotten what they have negotiated and still are stuck with it . For it is not all the Indians fault their lot in life . We hid behind the Queen and greed . To bad that most who put Indians down do not understand the way we have controlled them from day one . Not to say that they are not also to blame but that is another story of which they need to sort out . The metis are not in this same boat and desearve nothing of that which they ask .

Metis people do not have ancestrial lands. There is no such country as Metis Land.
Metis are a cross between Aboriginals and Caucasians. Metis people are free to purchase land where ever and when ever they wish, provided the land is for sale.
We are all Canadians, and we should all be treated the same.

Indeed. Tell that to David Chartrand. He talks about "Metis Nation"...
