tempting.. BUT.. its based on them being a brewer first.. food second... so might not hit it off .. maybe? Their beers look pretty good too though.

they have a "mug club" which occasionally accepts members, its a concept that would possibly work well in a more residential area of the city.. ie local "pub"

Mmmm. Do not be deceived. Those are AMERICAN beers. As good as they look, chances are, they still taste like 100 year old horse piss.

Now pass me the pork chops, damn it.

If they use their own home/micro brews, you could be pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of great beer down there that you will never find advertised on tv.

I keep getting bitten by Yankee Doodle beers that people insist are good. I'm hesitant at best.

Where are my damn pork chops?

Carderos in Coal Harbor in Vancouver used to have the most amazing apple smoked pork chops on their menu. These things are orgasmic. I don't see them on their new menu. Not that it matters because I live 2 hours away from d/t Vancouver for another 18 days anyway.

*raises an eyebrow*

3 years...that's an arbitrary number.

Actually it's probably more like *counts on fingers* 9 years, because it's been that long since I worked in downtown Vancouver.

I was curious to see if they were still on the menu & had a description. There are indeed still chops on the menu, but they lack a description of how they're prep'd.

Tarted up American classics two or three steps above a TGI Fridays meets Outback. Micro-brewery/eatery concept though is good and I have eaten at many in the states but they were not chain operations. I do not like chain restaurants as the "freshness" of the food is questionable.

Is Rivercity Brewery still open in the village?
