Lawless apparently has some big news to release today on the Freep website at 5:15, will also be discussed on his show once the story breaks.

I don't know if this is true. I know Hamilton did it but that was in an effort to convince bettman to allow ballsillie to move a team to Southern Ontario.

I believe many market research studies have been done that TNSE will stand by that have convinced the richest man in Canada to spend a pi$$-pot o'money.

However, if true I would expect every ticket to be snapped up quickly. Ditto the private boxes.

And I would subscribe to pay-per-view as well if offered.

Anyone got any ballpark prices for what a 3 year season ticket package might look like?

Nothing like taking out a small loan when you don't know how much to ask/beg/plead for. lol

The mods at Jetsowner.com, who are fairly well connected, have listed the following prices as being pretty accurate.

How would someone measure this commitment? Would people actually have to deposit full price for a three year term? Not bloody likely!

I think a credit card deposit is what would be expected.

And the rumours have been flying everywhere, so I'll state it here too - you apparently only need a down payment on ONE season, with a committment to renew your tickets for three years.

People are reading Lawless' article thinking they're going to need $12,000-$15000 by Tuesday.

Is that a upper deck estimate, or a middle of the pack estimate?

Wink

There's no details to be had, as most of all this is just "well educated speculation" according to all parties. And with that article, yeah, one gets the impression that you'd need a full, lump-sum commitment up front.

I'd prefer the deposit with commitment to buy 2 more seasons worth as opposed to a lump-sum. But when push comes to shove, I think many Winnipeggers would do a lot to make sure it happens either way.
