Apparently the cheques were mailed out yesterday. Has anyone received theirs yet?

A girl I work with called yesterday and found out she is getting 675.00 back. Not too shabby...

Now I've got a bone to pick with mpi on their handling of this rebate program. It seems my comments in the freep have not been well accepted. Perhaps it's my view? You tell me.

I think mpi is spending an enormous amount of money mailing these rebate cheques out. Why not simply credit our account such that when renewal time rolls around we simply pay less later. Think of the money saved when more than 500,000 cheques are NOT mailed. Does that not make sense?

Or is simply that people want their money back NOW?

MPIC has no choice in the matter.

PUB ordered them to do rebates based on the current year and to have the money out by date XXX

Also of note, some people might not register their vehicle again.

Got mine today. $1150 Nice.
Better if I did not pay it to begin with.
Even better if that % was reduced from all future payments too.

No rebates are based on 2009/10 year. I have a friend who had a car and paid big premiums in that year, but did not register again in 2010 because it was too expensive. No rebate there, even though it would have been fair and needed ...

$646 rebate for 3 vehicles. Not included were 1 trailer and 2 vehicles, or extra liability commercial insurance.

I've heard a few people who claim they have relatives that received way too much based on the premiums they paid. One co-worker says his brother received $900 for one vehicle insured when their basic premium was only $1200. I wonder what will happen in those cases if it does turn out an overpayment was made?

I think the local economy is going to be getting a huge boost. My daughter's $475 rebate is going for 4 new tires, and my wife took our $575 rebate and ordered $530 worth of earth for the back yard.
My daughter just went back to work to meet a friend who wants to buy a new sofa from her!
