Would you like some right-wing views with your cheeseburger? One American website says you would.

According to the "taste graph" on collective website Hunch.com, whether you like McDonald's french fries or thin-crust pizza, drink red wine or milk with meals, and consider a bacon cheeseburger "delicious" or "disgusting" is a strong indication of whether you're politically liberal or conservative.

Hunch.com crossed users' self-described political preferences with their food and drinks preferences and came up with conclusions that are sure to give people something to talk about around the dinner table.

A few examples:

Conservatives prefer McDonald's french fries, cooked vegetables and deep-dish pizza crust. They consider burgers on the grill a great home-cooked meal, and enjoy classic pasta such as linguine. They drink milk and soda, aren't particularly tempted by vegetarianism or organic foods, they're not sure what a "foodie" is, and tend to view fine dining as too fancy for their tastes. They say a bacon cheeseburger is "delicious" and consider Chinese takeout "exotic food".

Liberals prefer bistro-type fries, fresh vegetables, thin-crust pizza, they favour coconut curry with lamb and rice when cooking at home, and like hard-to-pronounce pasta such as gnocchi. They drink wine with dinner, like organic foods and consider themselves "foodies", and enjoy fine dining.
They say a bacon cheeseburger is "disgusting" and consider Pan-Asian/French fusion cuisine to be "exotic".

Not in my opinion.

Not even close from my personal choices and from what I've seen of my fellow Conservatives.

Was this done up by the CBC VoteCompass guys I wonder.
