Her olympic achievements illustrate her character and ability to get things done, etc.

That, imo, gives her a very strong image.

and receiving three degrees, one of them a masters does not show this womans ability to get things done? ( not to mention being a two time provincial high land champion since you seem to place more emphasis on use of a body then a brain )

You would have to ask her.

These are NOT the kind of people I feel comfortable running our government. It's a mickey mouse lets play politics party.

I doubt that many of these candidates expect to get any votes other than from family and close friends (if even those).

I could list way more NDP, LIB and PC candidates that would terrify you if they got in.

She just like the party ... it is a party-in-waiting imo.

Protesting is what kids do? Tell that to the people who recently protested the NDP bungling of the cottage flooding fiasco at the Leg.

Ditto the protestors at the Leg who were protesting the BIPOLE III line going down the west side.

Still think protesting is for kids only?

I honestly don't get you dean. You spend half your time on this forum calling people commies, while in reality you worked to help get Judy Wasylycia Leis elected and are now running for the Green party. If anyone on this forum is the resident commie pinko I think the honors would be all yours.

green party is the farthest party from communist in this prov election, you dont want to see or believe it, there is nothing I can do to convince you other wise.

JTF is the one who calls people commies.. I just agree with him often.

yup. helped Judy on the one election because I did not like the other choices.

helped lib and pc candidates in other elections as well. Have voted, PC, LIB, NDP, Christian Heritage and independent.

I've been saying the same thing for a while now. Gerrard has to go. Should have left on his own accord years ago. On the other hand, the other parties are probably happy that he's still around....

Yup.

I cannot think of one thing that protesting stopped on its own.

The residents circulated a petition in that case. That's not the same as carrying a sign and jumping up and down for attention.

There was a hellava lot more to the Gordon Bell situation than a simple demonstration.

But you illustrate my point...demonstrations as that are for kids. Smile

Obviously, protests are catalysts that lead to change. That's the point.

Plenty of adults protesting in Egypt to get rid of their dictator. That lead to change. That's my point.

I understand.

My point is that protests themselves are useless until somebody on the inside makes a move. That's where I like to concentrate for change.

I hear ya. I can't imagine anyone protests without the expectation of triggering inside moves.

Aside from the fact that she isn't in my riding, I don't even have a green member running in Transcona, or the list on the Green Party's website is missing some people. Even still, honestly how are voters supposed to take this party seriously, if they are only running the minimum number of candidates? How is this going to represent all Manitobans?

Maybe next time.

We are running the amount we could get to run. Unlike the traditional ties that some parties have we are slowly forming.

The Saskatchewan party started out with 5 members. They now run the province.
