Apart from knowing who he or she is, have you met your MLA and do you have a sense of how good a job they have done representing your riding?
Hugh's my MLA. I've never met him. I did contact him once, in writing, but he never got back to me, although his staff said that he would.
How well has he represented my riding? Honestly, I can't say. What I can tell you is that he seems to be invisible. I haven't seen him out in the community, making an effort to get to know his constituents. Maybe he has, but I haven't noticed.
He should have called an open-house at one of the schools to allow folks to ask questions and meet him. Not even debate other candidates. That would be pointless because he's in a riding that only elects Tories.
