I don't buy overpriced coffee since I make gourmet brew at work and it easily tops them all...for pennies a cup.

We drink a lot of Starbucks, to the point where we need to buy an espresso machine, because the costs are at the point where it has become stupid.
McDonalds is the fallback. Then Tims.

I prefer to brew my own of course, but if I "must" buy my coffee, I'll go with Second Cup, then Starbucks, then "whatever is nearby".

I've had good success with DeLonghi and Krupps machines.

Wife drinks tons of starbucks. But tea, not coffee. IMHO Starbucks coffee is burnt sh1t. "look, a good roast! Let's roast them beans again" And before anyone is tempted to say strong, I know the diff between strong and burnt.

McD's - they closed down the one in Wpg Square and I am very happy about that ( even though I been down her 4.5 yrs and only been there once)

Anyway, back on topic, wife drinks lots of Starbucks tea, so we got a Tassimo to brew Tazo Chai Lattes. All it's done is cut her 2x/day habit down to 1x/day.

I was looking at a DeLonghi. I'm going to hold off until the new year, and maybe see if we have enough frequent flier points to get something free. We drink way too much out of the house not to make the investment at this point. It's more expensive than going back to being a smoker.

I snagged an older cappucino/espresso machine a few years back (Philips or Procter-Silex?) on Mastercard points that was of low-grade consumer quality... lasted a couple of years before it crapped out. Managed to eke a few more months of life out of it by repairing the steam chamber, but it's not the safest procedure...

It's that rationale that led me to buy a bigger liquor cabinet Wink
